XHub VPN Services Configuration - Windows - NCP-E

NCP-Engineering

AHDS VPN services are based on IPSec protocol tunnels.

Windows based will be issued a license for NCP Engineering's Secure Client IPSec client software.

Follow these instructions to install and setup the NCP Secure Client software.

You will need the Profile import file and the Username/password sent to you by AHDS support to complete the install and configuration.

  1. Download the NCP Secure Client (Juniper Edition) software from their website.
  2. The download is a zip file:

  3. Extract the contents of the zip file onto your disk

  4. Run the "Juniper_SecureCl_Win" installer application and click continue if prompted.

  5. Select language:

  6. The first screen of the Installer comes up, click Next.

  7. Click Install for the network adapter.

  8. Click Install a second time if prompted.

  9. Click Install for the Network Service.

  10. Install Wizard complete. Restart your computer.

  11. After rebooting you may be presented with a dialog from your firewall software warning about the NCP Client Monitor software. Unblock that from the firewall.

  12. 30 day license confirmation.

  13. Next task is to add the AHDS XHub profile. Select Profiles from the Configuration menu.

  14. When presented with the profile list, click Add/Import to start the New Profile Wizard...

  15. Select "Profile Import" on the first screen.

  16. Select the AHDSXhub.ini file you should have received as part of your setup. The file may have a slightly different name.

  17. When the Import Profile summary screen comes up, click Next.

  18. The profile will be imported to setup your connection to XHub. The wizard will prompt for your username/password. You will have received this information from AHDS.

  19. The profile will be imported and a summary log will be displayed. Click "Finish."

  20. The connection should available to initiate.
