Support - FTP - XHub

Sending FTP Claims through the AHDS XHub network is simple and secure.

When using the our XHub VPN connection, using our proxy simplifies the FTP transmission process.

FTP No Proxy

Given the following parameters for an FTP connection:
FTP Host IP: 1.1.1.1
Port: 9921
Username: ahds
Password: 12345

FTP Via Proxy

In your FTP program, the settings would get altered like so:

FTP Host: ftpproxy.xhub.ahds.com
Port: 21
Username: ahds%1.1.1.1
Password: 12345

Notice how the original destination IP is appended to the user name.

If the destination server is listening on an alternate port (different than 21) then append a COLON PortNum after the IP in the user name.
e.g. ahds%1.1.1.1:9912
Your local FTP software will connect on the normal port 21 to the proxy and then the proxy will then make the connection to 1.1.1.1 on port 9912.

NOTE: The proxy does not retain any data from your transmission.
